Arroz Doce (Sweet Rice Pudding)
Heat the milk in a pan.
In another pan heat some water, add the lemon zest and the cinnamon sticks and season with salt. Stir in the rice allowing the water to disappear. When the water has completely disappeared start pouring in the warm milk little by little stirring continuously over low heat, allowing the rice to cook slowly in the milk. When the rice is cooked, remove the lemon zest and the cinnamon sticks, and add the sugar stirring well. Remove from the heat and serve sprinkled with cinnamon powder.
