A classic Portuguese dish combining tender salt cod flakes with boiled chickpeas, winter cabbage, and egg, finished with hot olive oil infused with garlic.
• Soak the dried chickpeas overnight.
• Cook the chickpeas in salted water with a bay leaf.
• Separately cook the cabbage in boiling water.
• Boil the eggs for 8–10 minutes.
• Poach the desalted cod for 5 minutes.
• Flake the cod and remove any bones.
• Heat olive oil with sliced garlic until lightly golden.
• Plate: chickpeas → cabbage → cod flakes → sliced egg.
• Drizzle generously with the hot garlic-infused olive oil
