This is a traditional dish served for the time of December till February
- Mix the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla sugar with a mixer until very frothy
- Add the flour, sieved together with the baking powder, and the oil
- Add the Cottage Cheese and mix well
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the batter
- Let the batter rest for 30 minutes
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a plain nozzle
- Fry the batter at 170°C (340°F) in a deep fryer
- Remove and drain on paper towels
- Dust with Icing sugar and serve with vanilla custard
