Classic Finnish Christmas treat, smoked salmon mousse and traditional dark island bread


Recipe

Crumble the smoked salmon into a bowl. If it’s in larger pieces, break it down with a fork.

Add the cream cheese, sour cream, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth.

Add the dill, grated lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well.

Check the taste and adjust with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice, if needed.

Now put it on some rye bread and enjoy!

- 200 g smoked salmon
- 200 g plain cream cheese
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated lemon zest
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
