Description

A simple but extremely tasty traditional dish from northwestern Slovenia, especially from Styria and Prekmurje. This dish combines the freshness of cottage cheese, the sweet-spicy taste of onions and the rich, nutty aroma of pumpkin seed oil. It is often served as a cold appetizer, snack or side dish with rye bread.


Recipe

Onions are cleaned and chopped. Mix the cottage cheese in a bowl, add spices, onion and pumpkin oil. Best served on rye bread.

250 g plain cottage cheese
100 g Onion
Ground red pepper
60 ml tablespoons of pumpkin seed oil
Pepper, salt
