A dish with mashed potatoes, served with sweet fried apples and bacon!
1. Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into pieces. Boil the potatoes in plenty of salted water. They are done when they slide off your fork easily. Let them cool briefly in the hot pan. Then add half the butter, a dash of warm milk and a pinch of nutmeg and puree until smooth.
2. While the potatoes are cooking, you can start working on the apples and onions. Wash the apples, remove the core and cut into cubes. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Fry this slowly in the butter over a low heat.
3. Fry the bacon in a frying pan until crispy. You don't need oil when you fry bacon. With the vegetarian substitutes you do need some olive oil.
